school Reading your portfolio — a plain-English guide
Quick tour
  1. Sign in from the sidebar (bottom-left) so your holdings sync across devices. Guest mode stores everything only in this browser.
  2. Add a holding using the Symbol / Qty / Avg fields at the top. Everything updates instantly.
  3. Read the Signal + Action columns to decide whether to hold, add, reduce, or sell. Set alerts on the Alerts tab so you don't have to babysit.
Total Value: Sum of (quantity × latest price) across every holding. Updates when NEPSE ticks arrive.
Day P/L: Change in value since yesterday's close. Green = up, red = down.
Total P/L: Value now minus what you paid (avg × qty summed). The % in parentheses is your all-time return.
Signal column (BUY/WATCH/SELL/HOLD): The AI's read on this scrip right now based on today's ticks. It answers "what is this stock doing?" — not "should I trade it?"
Action column (ADD/HOLD/REDUCE/SELL): The AI's suggestion for what to do with your *existing* position, factoring in your P/L and the current signal. Example: if P/L is +18% and signal is WATCH, action becomes REDUCE (take some profit).
Portfolio Heat bar: Colored segments show how your money is split across sectors. Wider segments = larger allocation. If one segment is over 40% (Max Sector %), you're concentrated — one bad news day in that sector hurts more.
Pilot Status: "Balanced" = healthy diversification. "Concentrated" = one sector > 40% — reduce or diversify to lower single-event risk.
Alerts feed (right column): Latest BUY / SELL / stale-data flags across the market so you don't miss important surface changes. Set your own price alerts on the Alerts page.
Paper Trade History: Trades the AI took on paper (no real money) to prove the strategy edge. Once the framework accumulates 30+ good paper wins, real-money pilot activation gets considered.
Nothing is a buy order: All columns are decision support. You always click. You always size the position. You always set the stop.
Recipes
Take profits: action = REDUCE and P/L% > 15 → sell a portion (say, half) and let the rest run with a trailing stop.
Cut losses: action = SELL and P/L% < -8 → exit the entire position; don't average down on a broken thesis.
Rebalance: Max Sector % > 40 → sell a bit of the fat sector and add to underweight sectors on their next BUY signal.
Set-and-forget: Turn on Alerts for every holding with an SL below your entry and a Target above — the app emails you when either level hits.
