NEPSE Composite (hero number): The overall market scoreboard. When 100 stocks trade and 60 go up, this number rises. Watch the small "▲ / ▼" — that's the change vs yesterday's close. The sparkline underneath shows the shape of today's intraday movement so you can spot whether the market opened weak and recovered, or sold off through the day.

Sub-indices (Banking / Hydropower / More): Same scoreboard but for one sector only. If Banking is +1.2% while NEPSE is -0.3%, banks are the strongest sector today. Tap "More sub-indices" to see Sensitive, Finance, Microfinance, Manufacturing, Life Insurance, etc.

Market Pulse (ADV / DEC / FLAT): Advancers, Decliners, Flat. A healthy trending market has 2× more ADV than DEC (e.g., 180 up / 90 down). If ADV ≈ DEC, the market is indecisive — don't chase signals on those days.

Best Setups (4 cards): The AI's shortlist of scrips that look interesting *right now* based on volume, momentum, and relative strength. Each card shows a BUY / WATCH / HOLD tag. Never treat these as buy orders — they're candidates. Cross-check the AI Watch page and your own risk tolerance before acting.

Top Gainers / Losers / Volume: The extremes for the day. Big gainers can revert; big losers can bounce. High-volume names are where actual money is flowing. Combining "high volume + top gainer" is a stronger signal than just being a top gainer.

Market state pill (sidebar): `PRE_OPEN` before 11:00 KTM · `OPEN` during trading (11:00–15:00) · `AFTER_HOURS` after close · `NON_TRADING_DAY` on holidays/off days. If you see `STALE`, the scraper hasn't updated in a while — treat everything as tentative until the next tick.
